POSITION: Water Treatment Plant Supervisor
GRADE: 76
BEGINNING SALARY: $56,713.09
LOCATION OF POSITION: Mainland Water Department, 444 Maple Road, Maple, North Carolina.
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Graduation from an accredited community college with a degree in chemistry, environmental science or related field and considerable water treatment experience, including experience in a reverse osmosis plant and some supervisory experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
JOB DESCRIPTION: Serves as Operator in Responsible Charge of the plant. Ensures the permitted levels and 
adequate supply are met in production of potable water and disposal of waste sludge. Plans and assigns work to subordinates, supervises and participates in operations of the plant. Provides preparation and analysis of laboratory results, and preventive maintenance and repairs. Establishes and maintains records and reports necessary for full compliance with all regulations and for effective management decision-making. Requests necessary resources in the annual budget, and motivates, coaches, and ensures effective productivity of division personnel. Work involves considerable initiative and judgement
