Wastewater and Collection System ORC

JOB DESCRIPTION

This position will be accountable for ensuring the highest level of treated water quality while optimizing the day-to-day operations and maintenance of a Grade 3 wastewater treatment plant and Class II Wastewater Collection System, performing a variety of operational, maintenance, laboratory or other duties, supervising staff, and ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations. This position requires at least 90% of time dedicated to hands-on work. In addition, the position will be the on-site representative for maintaining good, contract compliance and administration, company policy administration and management. The position requires working overtime to fill in for scheduling gaps, open shifts caused by vacation, sick or other leave; must available for weekend work. 

Education / Experience / Certification Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent strongly desired
• Intermediate level – 3 to 5 years of experience in wastewater treatment facility
• NC Grade 3 Wastewater Operator Certification or higher
• NC Grade 2 Collection System Certification
• Strong electrical and mechanical background with pumps
