Surface Water Treatment Plant Operator

We are looking for a certified Grade C-Surface (or higher) water treatment plant operator to provide temporary operational services for a surface water treatment plant located in the greater Salisbury area. 

We are looking for an individual with a keen skill in math, biology, and chemistry with a high mechanical aptitude. Key knowledge and skills vital to our operations personnel include knowledge of treatment processes for surface water treatment systems and general knowledge of water regulations. The right individual is a critical thinker with the ability to diagnose situations and apply their knowledge to ensure production of the highest quality product. Attention to detail and the ability to effectively communicate with the public, between departments and with state and federal officials is a key function. Successful candidates can push through challenges to achieve the desired outcomes in a timely manner.

Candidates should be self-motivated with a desire to be part of a team that works together to accomplish the mission.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED and experience in the operation and maintenance of surface water treatment facilities. Applicants must possess a grade C-Surface Certification or higher issued by the state of North Carolina.

Requirements: US Citizen, valid driver’s license, E-Verification required, ability to pass a background check. High school diploma or equivalent. Envirolink, Inc. is a drug-free workplace. Initial and random drug testing is required. Pre-employment physical examination/medical history check.

Job Type: Temporary

Schedule:

• 12 Hour shifts, 7pm - 7am
• Saturday, Sunday, and Monday nights strongly preferred
• Saturday and Sunday day shifts also available
• On-call shift operators also welcome
