Street and Utility Supervisor

The Town of Lucama is seeking a Street and Utility Supervisor.  The ideal candidate will demonstrate technical competence in construction, water/sewer maintenance as well as leadership for three direct reports.

 This position requires the ability to plan, supervise and coordinate various projects throughout the town.  An employee in this position should demonstrate knowledge of landscaping, maintenance, water treatment and distribution and sewage collection.

 This position will oversee employees who collect water samples, maintain distribution and collection lines, maintain water treatment plant, pump stations, and related equipment.

Additionally, this employee will oversee the crew’s collection of yard and bulk waste.  This employee will supervise crews and may participate in construction/repair and/or maintenance projects.  Must demonstrate the ability to manage projects, establish and maintain effective working relationships with supervisors, subordinates, elected officials, and the public.  This position reports to the Public Works Director.

Preferred qualifications:  CDL driver’s license, Class B. 3-5 years of experience working for a public utility.  Supervisory experience is preferred.
