Minimum Qualifications for Wastewater Plant Operator I

• Graduation from high school or GED
  • Valid NC driver’s license or valid out-of-state driver’s license with the ability to obtain a valid NC driver’s license within sixty days of employment and good driving record
  • Achievement of Grade I Biological Wastewater certification within 12 months of employment

Minimum Qualifications for Wastewater Plant Operator II

• Graduation from high school or GED
  • Two years of experience operating a wastewater treatment plant
  • Valid NC driver’s license or valid out-of-state driver’s license with the ability to obtain a valid NC driver’s license within sixty days of employment and good driving record
  • Grade III Biological Wastewater certification

 Minimum Qualifications for Wastewater Utility Plant Operator III

• Graduation from high school or GED
• Valid NC driver’s license or valid out-of-state driver’s license with the ability to obtain a valid NC driver’s license within sixty days of employment and good driving record
• Three years of experience in operating a wastewater treatment plant
•  Grade IV Biological Wastewater certification 

Work Schedule
On-Call rotation, Rotating shift pattern. Paid bi-weekly.
