Field Tech

The Field Technician plays a vital role in maintaining and operating the water distribution and treatment systems for a small public water district. This hands-on position involves routine inspections, repairs, and installations to ensure safe, reliable water service to the community.

• Perform maintenance and repairs on water mains, valves, meters, hydrants, and service lines
• Assist with water quality sampling and testing to meet regulatory standards
• 📍 Conduct field inspections and locate underground utilities using maps and GIS tools
• 📋 Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and system performance
• 📞 Respond to customer service requests and emergency calls, including after-hours as needed
