The City of Salisbury is seeking motivated candidates who will work in the Distribution and Collection Systems Division performing difficult technical work planning, directing, and leading a team in repairing and maintaining water and wastewater lines and service connections.

Salisbury-Rowan Utilities is an innovative, regional water and wastewater utility currently experiencing

Key Responsibilities:
• Install new taps, repair and replace fire hydrants and valves and maintain outfall lines.
• Oversee and direct the activity of a water or sewer maintenance crew.
• Receiving and responding to concerns or complaints form citizens, businesses, owners, and other city
department.
• Use heavy equipment including track excavators, dump trucks, sewer jetters and other construction or
preventative maintenance equipment.
• Use tools to install, repair and replace infrastructure and documenting completed work.
• Position will require working on an on-call rotation.

Minimum Requirements:
• High School diploma or GED and extensive experience in the installation and maintenance of water and
sewer lines with some supervisory experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Excellent customer service and positive leadership skills.
• Possession of NC Distribution and/or Collections certifications, or ability to obtain.
• Valid NC Driver’s License - Class A CDL or ability to obtain.
