Join Team Salisbury as a Distributions & Collections Systems Technician. We are seeking motivated candidates who will work as a part of a crew performing water and wastewater line repair and maintenance with Salisbury-Rowan Utilities throughout our regional service area. Primary duties for this position include but are not limited to: utilizes water and sewer maintenance equipment, including various hand tools, as well as light to heavy equipment, to install and maintain water and sewer lines and service connections; and performs preventative maintenance activities including valve and hydrant exercising, CCTV inspection, jetting, and flushing of sewer lines.

Opportunities for advancement and financial incentives are available for obtaining State certifications in Distribution (water), Collections (wastewater) and CDL.

Minimum Requirements:
• High School diploma or GED and minimal experience in utility maintenance, repair and/or construction, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Must have a valid NC Driver’s License, Class A or B CDL preferred
• Ability to work outside performing manual labor during all weather conditions
• Ability to work after normal business hours while on-call and during emergency situations
