Utilities Instrumentation & Controls Technician
$2,000.00 sign-on bonus to be paid as a lump sum after the completion of a successful probationary period.
As a Utilities Instrumentation & Controls Technician in the City of Salisbury, you can make a difference! The City is seeking a qualified professional responsible for installing, troubleshooting, updating, calibrating and maintaining Industrial Control Systems and Instrumentation, Programmable Logic Controllers, HMI devices, Level and Flow controls, VFDs, Soft-Starts, and other equipment related to water and wastewater treatment facilities. Main duties include but are not limited to: Installs software, hardware and peripherals; diagnoses and repairs hardware and software problems; maintains current software backups of all controls and devices; and maintains proper documentation, records, maintenance manuals and CMMS entries to ensure adequate inventory of spare parts and materials for repairs.
Minimum Requirements:
• High school diploma or GED and experience in computerized hardware and software and troubleshooting techniques, specifically industrial automation and control or closely related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Valid NC Driver’s License or the ability to obtain
• Possession of or ability to obtain appropriate software and hardware certifications
• Working knowledge of PLCs, PLC Logic, and VFDs preferred
• Working knowledge of Electrical, Mechanical and Process diagrams preferred

Salary Range: $50,356.89 - $80,571.03 (Depending on experience)
