As a Laboratory Analyst for the City of Salisbury, you can make a difference! Salisbury-Rowan Utilities is seeking a qualified professional responsible for performing wastewater lab testing and sampling. Main duties include but are not limited to operating lab instruments and equipment to perform basic chemical and
physical analyses for the purposes of wastewater assurance; preparing various analytical standards, quality controls, reagents and solutions; monitoring wastewater and industrial discharge sites and collecting samples as required; maintaining lab reports; and performing quality assurance tests.

Minimum Requirements:
• High school diploma or GED and minimal experience in laboratory or water/wastewater treatment plant
operations, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Valid NC Driver’s License or the ability to obtain
• Possession of Wastewater Laboratory Analyst Class 1 certification or the ability to obtain within 18
months of employment
• Experience in a municipal, industrial or commercial wastewater laboratory is preferred
• Strong computer skills in Excel and Word preferred

Salary range: $21.96 - $35.13 per hour (Depending on experience)
