Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator

Join Team Salisbury as a Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator. We are seeking motivated candidates to
join Salisbury-Rowan Utilities to operate our regional wastewater treatment facilities serving the City of
Salisbury and surrounding communities. The Operator will be responsible for operating, monitoring and
maintaining pumps, motors, aerators, and chemical feeders and all other related wastewater treatment
process equipment. The Operator will also collect and analyze samples for process and quality control and
maintain accurate data records of operational and quality control parameters.

Minimum Requirements:
• High School diploma or GED, and a valid NC Driver’s license
• Experience in wastewater treatment or a related field preferred
• Possession of a Grade 1 Biological Wastewater Treatment Certification, or ability to obtain within 12 months
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts. (Day or night shift opportunities are available based on applicant preference. Night shift includes differential pay)

Closing Date: May 22,2026
Salary range: $19.92-$31.87/hour (Depending on Experience)
 $2,000 sign-on bonus to be paid as a lump sum after successful completion of 90-day probationary period.
