Wastewater Treatment Plant Supervisor / ORC
The City of Salisbury is seeking a motivated and experienced professional to serve as Wastewater Treatment Plant Supervisor/ORC. This position carries Operator in Responsible Charge responsibilities for wastewater treatment facilities with a combined permitted capacity of 12.5 MGD, as well as oversight of the biosolids program.
The Supervisor/ORC will oversee and actively participate in the operation of the wastewater treatment plants to ensure reliable performance and full regulatory compliance. This role is responsible for supervising staff, supporting day-to-day operations, and ensuring all treatment processes meet or exceed applicable environmental standards.
In addition, the Supervisor/ORC will help develop, implement, and evaluate operational goals and objectives for the wastewater treatment facilities, working closely with the Wastewater Treatment Manager to carry out assigned priorities and continuous improvement initiatives.

Minimum Requirements:
• High School diploma or GED and considerable experience in the area of water/wastewater systems operations including 3 to 5 years of supervisory experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Possession of a Grade IV Biological Wastewater Treatment Certification and the ability to obtain a Land Application of Biosolids certificate within 12 months.
• Valid NC Driver’s License.
• Experience planning, assigning and supervising the work of plant operations personnel.

Salary range: $59,751.78 - $95,602.85 (Depending on Experience)
$2,000 sign-on bonus to be paid as a lump sum after successful completion of probationary period.
