Pre-Treatment Coordinator

The Pre-Treatment Coordinator is responsible for administering and overseeing the Town's Industrial Pretreatment Program to ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations. The Town maintains a small pretreatment program consisting of two permitted industrial users: one Significant Industrial User (SIU) and one Categorical Industrial User (CIU).

Key responsibilities include monitoring industrial discharges, conducting inspections and sampling, reviewing compliance reports, maintaining program records, coordinating with regulatory agencies, and ensuring the Town's pretreatment program remains in compliance with permit requirements. The Pre-Treatment Coordinator also provides technical assistance to industrial users and supports the protection of the Town's wastewater collection and treatment systems.
