Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator, Lead or Senior

Join Team Salisbury as a Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator, Lead Operator, or Senior Operator. We are seeking motivated candidates to join Salisbury-Rowan Utilities to operate our regional wastewater treatment facilities serving the City of Salisbury and surrounding communities.

The Operator will be responsible for operating, monitoring and maintaining pumps, motors, aerators, and chemical feeders and all other related wastewater treatment process equipment. The Operator will also collect and analyze samples for process and quality control and maintain accurate records of operational and quality control parameters.

In addition to the Operator duties the Lead Operator or Senior Operator will assist with solids dewatering, shift coverage and be part of an on-call rotation.

Minimum Requirements:
• High School diploma or GED, and a valid NC Driver’s License
• Operator – Possession of Grade 1 Biological Wastewater Treatment Certification,or ability to obtain within 18 months
• Lead Operator - Possession of Grade 2 Biological Wastewater Treatment Certification
• Senior Operator – Possession of Grade 3 Biological Wastewater Treatment Certification and possession of CDL or ability to obtain
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts with potential for shift differential pay

Salary Range: $20.42-$37.81 / hr.(Dependingon Experience)
$2,000 sign-on bonus to be paid as a lump sum after successful completion of the probationary period.
